Our thanks go to Jeremy Bulloch, best known as the infamous bounty hunter Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, part of the original Star Wars trilogy.
Boba Fett was the silent type so Jeremy had no need to speak in the movies. But this week he is happy to shout out loud to help launch our exciting new book, Doom and Gloom at the Last Chance Saloon.
Jeremy became an unlikely hero in the sci-fi fantasy when he stood with his prop rifle and struck a pose. He says: “I thought of Boba Fett as Clint Eastwood in a suit of armour.” His stance was enough to mark him out among other celebrities in the film and give him a special place in the hearts of Star Wars fans.
As well as Star Wars, Jeremy has also appeared in Octopussy and The Spy Who Loved Me, with Roger Moore as James Bond, 007 special agent. He has also featured in numerous British television and film productions, including Doctor Who and Robin of Sherwood, and in 1962 starred alongside Cliff Richard in the hit movie, Summer Holiday.
As one of the most popular Star Wars characters, Jeremy is often invited to be a special guest at science conventions around the world.
